"I approach work as I do golf: it's a gentlemen's game with a code of ethics," states Fred Gil, a Title Representative with Fidelity National Title Insurance in Tustin, California. "I treat my clients with integrity, the way I like to be treated," he continues.
This personal guiding principle helps Fred to approach his business and clients in a successful way.
He counts his father as a strong personal influence. "My Dad was a modest, funny and hard-working blue collar man with a fourth grade education. He always stressed the importance of finishing school," Fred states.
Fred has 18 years experience in the title industry, and before that he spent two years as an underwriter. When asked what he considers to be his professional accomplishment, he replies, "I guess it was starting in the title business at such an early age. The average age is 32, and I started when I was 22, a decade ahead of the norm."
His professional goal is to go into management in order to take on a new challenge and career path. His professional motto is the company motto: "you'll appreciate the difference."
He considers Tom Evans, the regional manager of FNF companies, to be a strong professional influence. "He oversees the west coast. He has been a strong influence - wonderful to me both professionally and personally," he asserts.
How has Focus Publications helped him to achieve success? "When you are in sales, you can't be everywhere but you have to keep in touch," says Fred. "I especially love the Focus "drip" email marketing campaign; it's so beneficial for my business. When someone on my list receives one, it might spark them to call me. Also, in order to continue to build a client base, referrals are vital. Focus keeps my name in front of current and potential clients and also my referral network," he concludes. |
